Top Industries for Female Employment in Uzbekistan in 2023: Survey Results
In 2023, the medical and pharmaceutical sector held the largest share in hiring women in Uzbekistan. According to a recent Spot report by HeadHunter, the labor market situation for women in Uzbekistan was analyzed, revealing the top sectors inviting women into the workforce.
Among the sectors with the highest percentage of female hires in 2023 were Medicine, pharmaceuticals, and pharmacies at 76%, followed by educational institutions at 69%, accounting at 65%, human resource management at 62%, and arts and culture at 58%.
On the other hand, the mining, heavy machinery, and automotive sectors had the lowest levels of employment offerings for women, with rates of 21%, 19%, and 17% respectively.
In terms of professions attracting the most interest from women, administrative positions ranked the highest at 9.5% of total resumes, followed by education at 8.4%, and accounting at 8%.
This data sheds light on the job market landscape for women in Uzbekistan in 2023, showcasing both the sectors that are actively hiring women and the areas where there is room for improvement in female employment opportunities.
