Zorlu Töre Attends Cyprus West University Graduation Ceremony
Zorlu Töre, the President of the Assembly of the Republic, recently attended the graduation ceremony of Cyprus West University, which celebrated its first batch of graduates. In his speech during the ceremony, Töre emphasized the new opportunities that await the students as they enter a new phase in their lives after graduation.
Addressing the graduates, Töre urged them to always remember their country and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) no matter where their paths may lead them. He also expressed his hope that the students would continuously stand against imperialism and uphold the values and principles of humanity.
Furthermore, Töre highlighted the existence of not only military and armed conflicts but also significant economic and cultural battles in the world. He encouraged the students to never give up on their own identities and to always protect their own values, stating, “We do not want to deceive anyone, but we will not allow anyone to deceive us.”
As a final request, President Töre asked the graduates to promote and explain the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the countries they visit.
