Shocking Child Abuse Case in Fatih: Caregiver Arrested
A disturbing incident occurred in the Nişanca neighborhood of Fatih on April 25, where a caregiver, Maftuna Ishmatova from Uzbekistan, was arrested for violently abusing a two-year-old child. Ishmatova had been taking care of the child for approximately two months when the horrific events unfolded.
Reports indicate that the child, who was crying, was subjected to slaps and kicks by Ishmatova. The alarming situation came to light when a witness recorded the abuse on a mobile phone and promptly notified the authorities.
Upon arriving at the scene, police detained Ishmatova and discovered a total of seven children in the home. Among them were two children belonging to Ishmatova, and the other five were identified as the children of neighboring families.
Following the incident, the two children of Ishmatova will be placed in a child protection institution. The caregiver is currently facing legal proceedings after being referred to court.
This case has raised concerns over the safety and well-being of children in caregiver settings, highlighting the urgent need for improved oversight and regulation in such environments.
