Trump Refuses to Debate Harris in New Showdown
Former President Donald Trump has announced that he will not participate in a third debate with Democratic Party leadership following his recent debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. In a statement shared on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump declared that he will not accept another debate after facing off against Harris on September 10.
Trump claimed victory in the debate, criticizing the Democratic candidate as a “radical left Comrade” and accusing President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris of allowing criminals and mentally ill individuals to enter the United States. He also held the Democratic administration responsible for the “bankruptcy of the middle class” due to their failure to address inflation.
Despite Harris’ campaign team expressing interest in another live debate, Trump made it clear that there will not be a third debate. He noted that Harris did not participate in other debate programs and declined invitations from other major networks, suggesting she focus on her responsibilities in the past four years.
The first live debate between Harris and Trump, which aired on ABC News and lasted 1.5 hours, covered various topics including domestic policy, the economy, border security, and foreign policy. As the US gears up for the upcoming presidential elections on November 5, the debate provided insight into the contrasting views and approaches of the candidates.
