Following their success at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the Turkish Goalball Women’s National Team has once again made a mark in Turkish sports history. In Paris 2024, the team maintained their top spot and became the team that won the most gold medals in the Paralympic Games for Turkey.
Led by head coach Gültekin Karasu, the squad consisted of talented players including Sevda Altunoluk, Fatma Gül Güler, Reyhan Yılmaz, Şeydanur Kaplan, Sevtap Altunoluk, and Berfin Altın. Their stellar performance at the games helped Turkey’s overall medal count to increase to an impressive 19.
