The Turkmen football club, “Ahal,” is set to travel to Tashkent to compete against Uzbek team “Pakhtakor” in the third round of the Asian Champions League, according to reports from the team’s press service.
The match is scheduled for October 24 and will take place at the Bunyodkor stadium, starting at 19:00 local time in Ashgabat.
Serdar Geldiyev’s team enters this match with three points to their name. The Turkmenistan-based team secured a narrow victory against Saudi Arabian team Al Feiha at home, while they suffered a 4-2 defeat against UAE’s Al Ain away from home.
On the other hand, Ahal’s opponent, Pakhtakor, has yet to earn a single point in the tournament, experiencing consecutive defeats. They suffered a devastating loss to Al Ain at home and then fell to Al Feiha away.
Currently, Al Ain leads Group A with six points, followed by Ahal and Al Feiha, both with three points each. Pakhtakor sits at the bottom of the group standings.
