Turkmen-Armenian Collaboration in Culture and Humanitarian Initiatives Discussed
On March 12, 2025, a meeting took place between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, and the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Artur Martirosyan.
The meeting focused on discussing various issues related to bilateral cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, and sports agendas. One of the key topics explored was the mutual participation of university professors from both countries in international seminars and conferences, as well as the involvement of students and schoolchildren in thematic Olympiads.
Ambassador M. Ayazov shared that Turkmenistan has declared this year as the “International Year of Peace and Trust,” with a series of events being organized worldwide under this theme. The parties also explored the possibility of organizing joint cultural events in both Turkmenistan and Armenia in line with this motto.
Furthermore, Ambassador Ayazov highlighted Turkmenistan’s commitment to youth development, emphasizing the nation’s focus on improving the national youth policy and increasing the engagement of young people in various activities. He noted that the youth of Turkmenistan play a vital role in the country’s sustainable development, contributing to the national economy and the successful implementation of state programs.
The meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Minister of Armenia signifies a continued effort to strengthen ties between the two nations in cultural, educational, and youth development aspects.
