Turkmen Leader Meets with President of Uzbekistan

The National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, recently met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during the President’s working visit to Turkmenistan on October 11, 2024.

The meeting took place following the participation of President Mirziyoyev in the International Forum “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development” held in Ashgabat. President Mirziyoyev commended the organization of the forum and presented Berdimuhamedov with the book “Magtymguly” translated into Uzbek as a sign of friendship and respect. In return, Berdimuhamedov announced plans to present this collection of poems in the coming days and expressed confidence in the continued development of the fraternal ties between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The meeting concluded with well wishes for each other’s health, success in state activities, and prosperity for the people of both countries.
