Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Leaders Attend Orient Historical Exhibition
Turkmen and Uzbek Leaders Visit "Mirages of Time" Exhibition in Samarkand
On April 24, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, joined the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, for a visit to the “Mirages of Time” exhibition. This significant event was held at the international tourist center in Samarkand.
The exhibition features a captivating installation, with the centerpiece being a night desert that showcases a starry sky adorned with Zodiac signs, the star map of Ulugbek, and various meridians. Attendees are taken on a visual journey through the dunes, reminiscent of the ancient caravans traveling along the Great Silk Road, narrating pivotal moments in the history of civilization.
Performances enriched the event, with Uzbek and Turkmen artists playing traditional instruments like the dutar and tamboura, reciting verses from renowned poets such as Navoi and Magtymguly. These cultural displays underline the rich heritage shared by the two nations.
The exhibition employs innovative presentations, incorporating advanced technological effects and theatrical elements to enhance the audience’s experience.
This collaboration between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan reflects not only the shared historical ties but also a commitment to cultural exchange and mutual respect.
