Turkmenistan’s President Congratulates War Veterans on the 78th Anniversary of Victory Day
Turkmenistan’s President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has extended his greetings to war veterans and all compatriots on the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. In his message, the President praised the bravery of the Turkmen people during the war, who fought alongside the representatives of fraternal nations to uphold the principles of freedom and peace.
He paid warm tribute to the elderly, women, girls, and children who remained in the rear but contributed significantly to the war efforts. The President highlighted their unshakable faith and bright hopes for a peaceful and quiet life, as well as their unbending will and selfless work day and night, which contributed to the eventual triumph over the Axis powers.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also recalled Turkmen women’s voluntary donation of 7,392 kilograms of gold and silver jewelry to the Defense Fund at that crucial and challenging period. He emphasized that the Turkmen people would never forget the exceptional heroism and sacrifice of their compatriots during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The President concluded his message by stating that the courage and fortitude of their ancestors should serve as inspiration for all Turkmen citizens to serve their country, people, and all mankind with loyalty and dedication.
