Upcoming Weather Alert: Snow and Torrential Rain Expected in the Next Week
The weather forecast for our country, according to estimates made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, indicates partly cloudy and very cloudy conditions in certain regions. Areas such as Marmara, Western Black Sea, West of Eastern Anatolia, and inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea are expected to experience rainfall, with Edirne and Kırklareli forecasted to have strong local rainfall. Additionally, strong winds are anticipated in various regions, including Aegean, Western Mediterranean, Central Black Sea, Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and Central Anatolia.
The decrease in air temperature by 4 to 6 degrees is expected in western regions, while winds may reach speeds of 40-70 km/h in certain areas. Ice and frost are also expected in eastern regions during the night and morning, with a risk of avalanches in areas with high snow cover.
Furthermore, warnings have been issued for strong rainfall, winds, icing, frost, and avalanche danger in specific regions. Yellow warnings have been issued for 26 cities, with additional warnings for 30 cities and storm warnings for the Black Sea, Marmara, North Aegean, and Western Mediterranean regions.
