Ural Airlines to Resume Flights from Krasnoyarsk to Tashkent
Ural Airlines of Russia is set to resume regular flights from Krasnoyarsk to Tashkent, according to reports from Kommersant. The direct regular flights on the route will be operated once a week on Thursdays, using medium-haul Airbus A320 aircraft. The first flight is scheduled to launch on January 18.
The flight schedule in local time will see departure from Krasnoyarsk at 11:45 and arrival in Tashkent at 13:30. The return flight will depart from Tashkent at 14:50 and arrive back in Krasnoyarsk at 20:10. The cost of a one-way ticket without luggage currently starts from 12.3 thousand rubles ($134).
At present, Ural Airlines operates foreign flights only to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, with a fleet of 52 Airbus aircraft. However, some of these aircraft have not been cleared of double registration in Russia and abroad, which limits their use on most foreign routes. As a result, the Federal Air Transport Agency has temporarily transferred Ural Airlines’ permissions to a number of international routes to other companies such as Aeroflot, Azimut, and Red Wings, who have received additional permission to fly to Tashkent and Bukhara.
Deputy head of the Russian airline, Kirill Skuratov, has indicated that Ural Airlines could potentially resume flights to Uzbekistan in January. This development will provide increased travel options for passengers between Krasnoyarsk and Tashkent, and could contribute to the strengthening of ties between the two regions.
