Urgent Request: TÜSİAD President and YİK Chairman Seek Forensic Control
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office is continuing its investigation into the speeches made by TÜSİAD Chairman Turan and YİK Chairman Aras on February 13 at the association’s general assembly. The allegations suggest that they were attempting to influence the investigation.
Both suspects have completed their statements at the prosecutor’s office as part of the investigation. They are accused of publicly spreading misleading information and attempting to influence the fair trial. Judicial control measures are expected to be applied in this case.
Following the completion of their statements, Turan and Aras were instructed to appear at the Istanbul Police Department Security Branch for further questioning. They were then taken to the Istanbul Courthouse to provide their statements.
In response to these developments, President Erdogan expressed a strong reaction to TÜSİAD. He criticized the association for its alleged provocations and interference in political matters. Erdogan also questioned TÜSİAD’s actions during natural disasters, accusing them of not providing adequate support to those in need.
