UzAuto Motors Maintains Strong Hold on Uzbekistan’s Car Market in 2024
UzAuto Motors has once again solidified its position as the leading car manufacturer in Uzbekistan, controlling an impressive 89.4% market share in the first nine months of 2024. According to a report by Uzavtosanoat JSC, a total of 303,373 vehicles were sold across the country during this period, with every third car sold being the popular Cobalt model.
From January to September 2024, UzAuto Motors delivered 271,221 vehicles to customers, dominating the market with a vast majority of sales. ADM Jizzakh followed with 19,766 vehicles sold, capturing 6.5% of the market share, while BYD Uzbekistan Factory delivered 11,580 vehicles, securing a 3.8% share. Other manufacturers such as Jizzakh Auto, Asaka Motors, and SamAuto also made contributions, each with a market share of 0.1%.
The most sought-after vehicle model during this period was the Cobalt, with 99,577 units sold. The Damas model followed closely behind with 71,875 units, while the Tracker came in third with 31,736 units sold.
Comparing the data to the previous year, in 2023, Uzbekistan’s automotive market saw a total of 456,347 vehicles sold. UzAuto Motors led the pack with 369,999 vehicles sold, valued at $4.85 billion. ADM Jizzakh followed with 25,000 vehicles sold, amounting to $823 million. BYD Uzbekistan Factory contributed 8,948 vehicles, valued at $291 million, while imports of other car brands totaled $1.2 billion, with 50,435 units.
The report underscores UzAuto Motors’ continued dominance in the domestic market, demonstrating its strong lead in both production and sales over its competitors. The company’s consistent performance and popularity among consumers position it as the unrivaled leader in Uzbekistan’s automotive industry.
