Uzbekistan and Poland Explore Textile and Technology Cooperation Opportunities

A delegation from Uzbekistan recently visited Poland to strengthen economic ties and explore new opportunities in the textile industry. The delegation, which included representatives from the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, as well as textile industry enterprises, engaged in various meetings and discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

One of the key objectives of the visit was to increase the export of Uzbek textile products to Poland and to introduce modern Polish technologies in Uzbekistan. The delegation visited the Union of Polish Weavers and major companies in Łódź to review their operations and production processes.

In addition, the delegation met with the president of GD Poland International Sp. z o.o. near Warsaw, as well as the president of the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce, to discuss further collaboration opportunities. An agreement was reached to open a store for Uzbek textiles and footwear in the wholesale trade complex, with special discounts and rental benefits offered to the Uzbek side.

Furthermore, a joint business forum was organized with over 20 representatives from Uzbekistan and Poland to explore potential partnerships and opportunities for collaboration. Discussions included the possibility of relocating companies from Bangladesh and Ukraine to Uzbekistan, as well as implementing new technologies to modernize Uzbekistan’s light industry.

Concrete agreements were reached between Uzbek enterprises and Polish companies for the supply of various textile products to Poland. Both parties expressed their readiness to participate in international textile exhibitions, such as the ITMF Annual Conference & IAF World Fashion Convention in Samarkand, Fast Textile in Warsaw, and My TexStyle in Kielce.

Overall, the visit was successful in laying the groundwork for future cooperation in the textile industry between Uzbekistan and Poland. Exciting opportunities lie ahead for both countries as they work towards mutual growth and development in this sector.
