
Uzbekistan’s Population Growing by 1,700 People Daily, Says Statistics Committee

The latest report from the National Statistics Committee reveals that as of April 1, 2025, Uzbekistan’s permanent population has grown to 37.7 million, marking a 2% increase compared to the same period last year.
The breakdown of the population is as follows:
– Number of women: 18.7149 million
– Number of men: 18.9829 million
– Urban population: 19.2164 million
– Rural population: 18.4814 million
Since the beginning of 2025, the population has seen a rise of 154.6 thousand people. On average, Uzbekistan’s population has been growing by 51.5 thousand people each month in 2025, equivalent to a daily increase of around 1,700 individuals.
