1 Dead, 2 Injured in Kağıthane Car Accident where Driver Ejected from Steering Cabin
Fatal Accident on Istanbul’s Imrahor Street
Last night, a tragic accident occurred on Kağıthane Imrahor Street in Istanbul, which resulted in the death of the driver, Cemil Ünal. The incident took place at around 23.30 when the vehicle with license plate number 06 DM 4018 crashed into an electric pole, causing the vehicle to swerve onto the pavement. It is not yet clear what caused the driver to lose control of the car.
As a result of the accident, 24-year-old Cemil Ünal was thrown from the vehicle and was trapped underneath the car. Despite the efforts of medical teams, he died at the scene. Unfortunately, passengers Muhammet Yasin Erdi and Berat Yılmaz were also injured and were taken to the hospital. Fortunately, they are in stable condition and are expected to make a full recovery.
The police were alerted to the accident and arrived at the scene quickly, conducting a comprehensive examination of the area. While the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance, the deceased was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the accident, and security camera footage was reviewed to determine what happened. It showed the car careening onto the pavement, and the driver, Cemil Ünal, being thrown out of the car.
