1 Suspect Arrested in Historical Artifact Operation in Kayseri
Provincial Police Department Busts Smuggling Operation, Seizes Historical Artifacts
In a recent operation conducted by the Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate, authorities seized a significant number of historical artifacts from a targeted address.
During the search of the residence, law enforcement officers uncovered a cache of items that included 6 guns, 4 rifles, 202 swords, daggers, columns, coins, and bracelets. All of these items were deemed to be historical artifacts and were promptly confiscated by the authorities.
The operation also resulted in the apprehension of a suspect who is currently in custody and being processed at the police station. The individual’s involvement in the smuggling and possession of these historical artifacts is under investigation.
The successful operation demonstrates the dedication of law enforcement agencies to combatting smuggling and organized crime activities within the region. The seized artifacts represent a valuable piece of history that will hopefully be returned to their rightful place in cultural heritage.
