China and Mongolia to continue fostering comprehensive strategic partnership
China’s top legislator, Zhao Leji, expressed the country’s willingness to work with Mongolia to further develop the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership. This statement was made during a meeting with L. Munkhbaatar, vice chairman of Mongolia’s State Great Hural (parliament), in Beijing.
Zhao highlighted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia. He emphasized China’s commitment to implementing important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly addressing regional and global challenges.
Furthermore, Zhao pointed out that the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China is eager to maintain close and friendly exchanges with Mongolia’s State Great Hural. He also mentioned plans to host a meeting of the China-Mongolia legislative exchange mechanism, deepen the exchange of legislative experience in ecological and environmental protection, and provide legal guarantees for practical cooperation between the two countries.
