11 Injured in Uşak After Passenger Bus Overturns
A passenger bus traveling on the Afyonkarahisar-Uşak highway was involved in a serious accident, leaving 11 passengers injured. The incident occurred when the bus, en route from Hatay to Izmir, lost control near Göğem Junction and crashed into the median, causing it to overturn.
Emergency services including police, gendarmerie, AFAD, and medical teams quickly responded to the scene of the accident. The injured passengers were promptly taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance for treatment.
The driver of the bus was escorted to the gendarmerie station to provide his statement regarding the incident. Meanwhile, the rest of the passengers were directed to Uşak Bus Terminal to resume their journey with another bus.
As a result of the accident, the Afyonkarahisar-Uşak highway is currently operating with limited traffic in a single lane. Authorities are working to clear the area and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
