112-Year-Old Granny Gullu Walks to Cast Her Vote
As citizens of Turkey cast their votes in the Presidential and parliamentary elections on Sunday, citizens of Gümüşhane showed great enthusiasm for the democratic process. Güllü Doğan, the oldest person in the city at 112 years old, showed up at the Marshal Çakmak Social Sciences High School to cast her vote. While in normal circumstances, she would have been brought to the mobile ballot box at her home, Doğan chose to come to the polling station to exercise her democratic right.
