126 Arrested in ‘Claw-40’ Operation Targeting FETÖ
The financial structuring of FETÖ has been exposed in the recent crackdown on the organization’s activities. In a recent operation targeting a revolving restaurant chain in 32 provinces, 372 individuals have been detained. Following police procedures, 126 suspects have been arrested and taken to court, while 156 have been released on judicial control and 90 have been released by police and prosecutors.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on February 21 that a major operation, codenamed “Kiskaç-40,” targeted FETÖ in Antalya. The operation aimed to disrupt the organization’s financing through a doner restaurant chain, resulting in the arrest of 353 suspects, including 10 individuals directly involved in providing financial support to FETÖ.
As the investigation continues, authorities are cracking down on the financial networks that support illegal organizations like FETÖ. The arrests and detainments are part of a larger effort to dismantle these networks and prevent further criminal activities.
