14 Arrests Made in Operation Targeting ‘Daltons’ Criminal Organization Across 3 Provinces
An international criminal organization known as the ‘Daltons’ has been targeted in a series of coordinated operations carried out by law enforcement in Turkey. Led by Beratcan Gökdemir, also known as ‘Can Dalton’, the group has been the subject of a large-scale crackdown that has resulted in the arrest of numerous individuals involved in the organization’s activities.
The operations, which were conducted by teams from the Organized Crime Branch Directorate and the Intelligence Branch Directorate under the coordination of Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, have led to significant progress in dismantling the criminal network. The ‘Cage 41′ operation, which targeted individuals providing financial support to the organization and participating in its illegal activities, resulted in the apprehension of 9 suspects, along with the seizure of weapons and narcotics.
In a second wave of the operation, an additional 8 suspects were detained, and a further 3 individuals were apprehended in a separate operation aimed at disrupting the supply of weapons to criminal organizations. Overall, a total of 20 suspects have been taken into custody as a result of these coordinated efforts.
During searches of the suspects’ residences and workplaces, law enforcement authorities recovered a significant quantity of firearms, ammunition, and illicit substances. A total of 14 suspects have been arrested as a result of the ‘Cage 41’ operation, signaling a major victory in the fight against organized crime in the region.
The successful operations against the ‘Daltons’ criminal organization demonstrate the commitment of Turkish law enforcement to combatting transnational criminal networks and ensuring the safety and security of the public. The arrest of individuals involved in these illicit activities sends a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated and that those responsible will be held accountable for their actions.
