14-Year-Old Unlicensed Driver Dies in Traffic Accident
Fatal Traffic Accident on Old Güzelyurt-Lefke Main Road
Tragedy struck in the early hours of the morning on the old Güzelyurt-Lefke main road, as a fatal traffic accident claimed the life of Savaş Erdem SOYBAL. According to the Police Press Officer’s Office, the accident occurred at approximately 02:20 when SOYBAL, who was driving a saloon vehicle without a license, was speeding and driving carelessly.
The vehicle, with plate number JG 531, was headed from Güzelyurt to Aydınköy when SOYBAL failed to navigate a left-leaning bend. Consequently, he veered off the road, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into the garden wall of a residence before colliding with the residence itself.
Tragically, the driver, Savaş Erdem SOYBAL, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and details are still forthcoming.
