15 Detained in Istanbul in FETO Operation

Turkish authorities have carried out an operation against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), resulting in the detention of 15 of the 19 people who were under arrest warrants. The FETO is a group considered responsible for the failed coup attempt against the Turkish government in 2016.
The detained people include those who were using ByLock, an encrypted messaging application used by FETO members. Among them, there are also expelled judges, active doctors, nurses, teachers, and lawyers who were working in public hospitals.
This operation is part of Turkey’s ongoing fight against FETO and its members. The organization is considered a threat to the stability and security of the country, with the aim of overthrowing the government and instituting an authoritarian regime.
The Turkish government has been cracking down on the FETO since the failed coup attempt in 2016. Thousands of people have been arrested and detained in connection to the organization, while others have lost their jobs or been expelled from the civil service.
The Turkish authorities’ efforts to eliminate the FETO threat have been met with criticism from some international organizations claiming violations of human rights and political opposition. However, Turkey has maintained that it is within its rights to combat terrorism and safeguard its democracy.
The recent operation is a reminder that Turkey remains committed to its fight against FETO and will not allow any threats to the security and stability of the country.
