150 Chickens Killed in Moving Truck Fire
Truck carrying live chickens catches fire on Ankara highway
A truck transporting live chickens on the highway in Ankara caught fire, resulting in the loss of approximately 150 chickens. The incident occurred near Yeşilyayla, when the truck’s rear tires ignited, causing flames to spread to the trailer.
The driver of the truck, operated by ST, quickly reacted and pulled over to the safety lane before notifying the fire brigade. Firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to extinguish the fire before it caused further damage.
Unfortunately, despite their efforts, around 150 chickens were unable to survive the blaze. The trailer of the truck was also declared unusable due to the extent of the damage.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the overall impact of the incident. It serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and emergency preparedness in such situations.
