170 Suspects Arrested in Antalya Public Order Inspections
Police Department in Province Cracks Down on Crime
Provincial Police Department teams have been hard at work targeting public order incidents, with a focus on intentional wounding, negligent homicide, theft, and sexual crimes. The teams have also been conducting daily checks on accommodation places and searching for wanted individuals.
In the past week alone, the teams have performed General Information Collection (GBT) queries on 293,777 people. As a result, 2,246 individuals who were wanted by the authorities have been apprehended.
Out of the individuals apprehended, 170 have been taken to court, where they were subsequently arrested and sent to prison.
During their operations, the police have seized a total of 11 stolen cars and motorcycles, 41 guns, 200 cartridges, 2 bicycles, 4 cutting tools, 2 mobile phones, as well as money and clothing items.
Furthermore, 15 businesses have been penalized for failing to register their accommodations, while 3 individuals have been charged for unregistered daily rentals.
The Police Department continues to work diligently to maintain public safety and order in the province, cracking down on crime and keeping the community safe.
