20,000 Turks Cast Ballots at Istanbul Airport during Elections

Turkish citizens living outside of the country can now cast their votes in Istanbul Airport. There are 12 ballot boxes that were set up on the departure and arrival floors of the airport. Voting began on April 27 and there have been around 20,000 voters so far, including foreign nationals who have been granted Turkish citizenship. The voting process for citizens registered in the foreign electoral register will end at 5:00 PM today. Turkish citizens abroad now have the opportunity to take part in the country’s elections and have their voices heard.
