
2023 Istanbul 3rd Region Deputy Candidates from Five Political Parties

As the parliamentary elections draw closer, voters in Istanbul’s 3rd Region have started to explore the candidates of the political parties vying for their vote. Metropolitan areas are witnessing the fiercest competition between parties, with each party bringing forward strong candidates to secure deputies from these areas.
The 3rd Region of Istanbul comprises 13 districts: Arnavutköy, Avcılar, Bağcılar, Bahçelievler, Bakırköy, Başakşehir, Beylikdüzü, Büyükçekmece, Çatalca, Esenyurt, Güngören, Küçükçekmece, and Silivri. These districts are home to over 5 million voters, and a total of 36 deputies will be elected from this region.
The AK Party has named 36 deputy candidates for the 3rd Region, including Numan Kurkumus, Özlem Rich, and Cüneyt Yüksel. The main opposition party, CHP, has put forward 25 candidates, including Engin Altay, Erdogan Toprak, and Turkan Ambassador. The MHP has named 36 candidates, including Fetih Yıldız, İsmail Faruk Aksu, and Gökhan Türkeş Öngel. The IYI Party has 36 candidates on the list, including Süleyman Şahin, Aylin Yılmaz, and Cemal Ergül. The Green Left Party has also named 36 candidates, including Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar, İskender Bayhan, and Zelal Firat.
In addition to the 3rd Region, voters in Istanbul’s 1st and 2nd Regions are also exploring their parliamentary candidates. The 1st Region has named 47 candidates from various parties, while the 2nd Region has a total of 33 candidates.
