
2024 Budget to Be Presented at Tomorrow’s General Assembly

The 2024 Fiscal Year Budget Bill is set to be discussed at the General Assembly of the Republic Assembly beginning tomorrow. The bill outlines expenses of 78 billion 717 million TL and income of 71 billion 932 million TL.
Discussions regarding the budget bill, which was approved by the Economy, Finance, Budget and Planning Committee with a majority vote, are scheduled to continue uninterrupted every day except Saturday and Sunday, with a projected completion date of December 22.
The general assembly discussions will commence with the Presidency and the Republic Assembly tomorrow at 10:00. Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova will deliver the introduction speech after the report on the bill is read. The bill will then be discussed item by item, beginning with the budgets of the Presidency, the Assembly of the Republic, and affiliated institutions.
The program of the General Assembly regarding the budget discussions outlines the schedule for each ministry’s budget discussions, culminating in the voting on the revenue budget and the entire bill on Friday, December 22.
