2024 Fee Schedule Settled in Mediation

New Mediation Minimum Wage Tariff for 2024 Announced

The 2024 Mediation Minimum Wage Tariff has been published in the Official Gazette, outlining the hourly fees for various types of disputes. The new tariff will come into effect on January 1, 2024, and will apply to family law, employee/employer, consumer, commercial, rent, neighbor’s rights, and Property Ownership Law disputes.

According to the new tariff, the hourly fee for mediation in family law, employee/employer, and consumer disputes varies depending on the number of parties involved. For disputes involving 2 people, the fee is set at 520 lira per party per hour. If there are 3-5 people involved, the fee is 1100 lira per hour, regardless of the number of parties. For 6-10 people, the hourly fee is 1200 lira, and for 11 or more people, it is 1300 lira.

In commercial disputes, the hourly fee ranges from 900 lira for disputes involving 2 people to 2100 lira for disputes with 11 or more people.

When it comes to rent, neighbor’s rights, and Property Ownership Law disputes, the hourly fee starts at 580 lira for disputes involving 2 people and goes up to 1400 lira for disputes with 11 or more people.

For other types of disputes that do not involve money or cannot be evaluated in money, the hourly wage is set at 550 lira for cases involving 2 people.

In legal disputes that involve money or are evaluated in money, the fee is determined as 6 percent if one mediator serves for the first 200 thousand liras of the agreed upon amount, and 9 percent if more than one mediator serves.

This new tariff aims to standardize and regulate mediation fees across various types of disputes, providing clarity and transparency for all parties involved.
