2025 Ramadan: Diyanet Announces Date for Night of Power

The Night of Kadir, also known as the Night of Power, is a special night in the month of Ramadan. It is believed to be the night when the Qur’an was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). However, there are various rumors and opinions about which specific night in Ramadan it falls on.
According to Zirr b. Hubeyş, a companion of the Prophet, the Night of Power is on the 27th night of Ramadan. He recounts a conversation with other companions, Ubey b. Ka’b and Ibn Mas’ud, where they confirmed that the special night is indeed in the month of Ramadan and specifically on the 27th night. They mentioned that it is a night when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) advised them to pray and worship. They noted that the sign of the Night of Power is the birth of the sun on the morning after.
Another narration from Abdullah b. Omar, another companion of the Prophet, also suggests that the 27th night of Ramadan is significant and should be spent in worship and remembrance of Allah.
Based on these accounts, it is recommended for Muslims to focus on worship and prayers during the 27th night of Ramadan, as it is believed to be the Night of Power. While there may be different opinions on the exact date of this special night, the importance of seeking its blessings and engaging in acts of worship remains a common understanding among Muslims.
