On Tuesday, 21 high school students staying in İnci Bankoğlu Girls’ Dormitory in the city center of Bartın, Turkey, were hospitalized on suspicion of poisoning. According to reports, some of the students who ate mashed potatoes, soup, and dessert with whipped cream prepared by the cooks in the dormitory for dinner, developed complaints such as nausea, vomiting, and weakness after a while.

The students were taken from the dormitory by ambulances and transferred to Bartın Maternity and Children’s Hospital after their initial treatment. Fortunately, it was reported that the general health status of the students who were taken to the hospital was good.
