“21st Orchid Walk: Collaborating with KAV and CENGO-V Foundation on April 28th” – BRTK
The Cancer Research Foundation (KAV) will be hosting its annual ’21st Orchid Walk’ event at Dilekkaya Forest on Sunday, April 28. In a recent interview with BRT, Professor Doctor Mustafa Camgöz, President of the Cancer Research Foundation, and Özge Özbekoğlu, President of the CENGO V Foundation, shared details about the event and their collaborative efforts.
The Orchid Walk, organized by the Cancer Research Foundation in partnership with Süleyman Cengiz Eminoğlu and CENGO-V Foundation, aims to raise funds for cancer research. The event, under the Main Sponsorship of Telsim, will support the foundation’s ongoing efforts to combat cancer through scientific research.
President Mustafa Camgöz highlighted the importance of the Orchid Walk in promoting awareness and understanding of cancer. As the only foundation in Northern Cyprus focusing on cancer research, the Cancer Research Foundation is dedicated to contributing to global efforts to combat this disease.
Camgöz also mentioned the fruitful collaboration with the Cengo V Foundation, which led to the development of a new drug for childhood cancer. Ongoing research includes environmental studies and drug development, with a focus on clinical trials for new cancer treatments.
Özge Özbekoğlu, President of the Süleyman Cengiz Eminoğlu Foundation, shared the foundation’s mission to support children and young people through social, sports, and educational projects. Through a 4-year cooperation protocol with the Cancer Research Foundation, the Foundation is also exploring herbal treatments to aid in the fight against cancer.
This year’s Orchid Walk promises to be a meaningful event, bringing together individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing cancer research and treatment. Participants can look forward to a day of solidarity and support for those affected by cancer, as well as a celebration of the ongoing efforts to find a cure.
