23 Arrested in Daesh Operation Across 7 Provinces
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced the success of the “Bozdoğan-29” operations carried out in 7 provinces against the terrorist organization DAESH. A total of 23 suspects were detained during the operations, which took place as part of the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in Turkey.
From June 1, 2023 to April 22, 2024, a total of 1422 operations have been conducted against DAESH. As a result, 2,991 suspects have been apprehended, with 718 of them being formally arrested and 566 placed under judicial control orders.
In a social media post, Minister Yerlikaya emphasized the commitment of the security forces to ensure the safety and security of the nation. He stated, “We will not allow any terrorists to threaten our peace and unity. Our security forces will continue to fight with determination until the last terrorist is neutralized. I commend the brave police officers who carried out the operations and extend my gratitude to them. Our nation’s prayers are with you.”
