29 Irregular Immigrants Rescued Near Çanakkale Coast

The Coast Guard Northern Aegean Group Command recently made a significant rescue operation off the coast of Ayvacık. Teams discovered a rubber boat carrying irregular immigrants in distress.
A total of 29 irregular immigrants, including 6 children from Afghanistan, were rescued by the teams from the “KB-20” boats. The immigrants had encountered engine failure, causing their boat to drift. They were quick to seek help, leading to their successful rescue.
Following the rescue operation, the foreign nationals were safely disembarked and taken to the Ayvacık Foreigners Repatriation Center for further procedures.
