
2nd Children’s Rights Festival takes place in Nicosia Kızılbaş Park

The 2nd Children’s Rights Festival organized by the SOS Children’s Village Association took place at Nicosia Kızılbaş Park in collaboration with the Nicosia Turkish Municipality and several sports and educational institutions. The main purpose of the festival was to raise awareness about the rights of children. The festival featured a variety of activities including basketball, cycling, gymnastics, dancing, face painting, and educational games for children to enjoy.
Ahmet Akarsu, the Program Manager of SOS Children’s Village, highlighted the significance of the event in commemorating World Children’s Rights Day on November 20. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about children’s rights and providing an opportunity for children and young people to have fun with their families.
Mehmet Harmancı, the Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, expressed his support for the festival and stressed the importance of making children aware of their rights while allowing them to have a good time. He also highlighted the municipality’s commitment to working in collaboration with various organizations and associations, stating that SOS is an important institution in the country.
