3-car Pile-Up on TEM Highway
Three vehicles were involved in a chain accident on the TEM Highway Gebze crossing, in the Akse Mahallesi area. The incident occurred when a car with license plate number 77 AK 449 lost control and hit the barriers in the left lane. Ten other vehicles, including cars with license plate AID 452 and a light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 DT 2309 could not stop in time, causing a collision involving three of them.
The emergency services were immediately notified, and the firefighters, health and police teams were dispatched to the location. The injured people in the Tofaş brand car were rescued by the firefighters and then handed over to the medical teams. The individuals, ET, CT, GA, and one person whose name could not be learned, were referred to hospitals for treatment.
The police have started an investigation into the incident.
