
31 Illegal Immigrants, including 14 Children, Caught Off the Coast of Çanakkale

A group of 31 illegal immigrants, including 14 children, were intercepted by the Coast Guard off the coast of Ezine district. The Coast Guard Mobile Radar (MORAD-7) detected the immigrants in a rubber boat, prompting the dispatch of Coast Guard Northern Aegean Group Command teams to the area.
The Coast Guard Boat ‘TCSG-16’ successfully caught the illegal immigrants in the moving rubber boat. Following their apprehension, the immigrants were processed and subsequently transferred to the Foreigners Repatriation Center in Ayvacık district.
Illegal immigration remains a pressing issue in the region, with authorities working diligently to address the challenges posed by irregular migration. The interception of these immigrants underscores the ongoing efforts to maintain border security and uphold immigration laws.
