34 People Fined for Trespassing in Şanlıurfa’s Prohibited Wetlands
In the province of Şanlıurfa, Turkey, the Governorship has recently implemented a ban on swimming in dangerous waters in order to prevent tragic drowning incidents. Governor Hasan Şıldak expressed his gratitude towards the citizens who have respected the ban, and emphasized the importance of following the regulations to protect lives. He stated on social media, “In accordance with the general order issued by our Governorship, the inspections of our Police and Gendarmerie units continue effectively. 34 people who did not comply with the decision and entered prohibited waters such as water channels, dams, and ponds were fined a total of 69,768 TL. Let’s comply with the prohibition decision and ensure the safety of ourselves and our children.”
