3rd Experimental Science History Project Closing and Certificate Ceremony at BRTK

The 3rd Experimental Science History project recently concluded with a closing and certificate ceremony held at the Bilim Nicosia campus. Organized by the Cyprus Science and Intelligence Foundation with the support of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, the three-day program provided students with a unique opportunity to delve into the history of science through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical training.

A total of 24 high school students from 10 schools participated in the project, where they were exposed to a wide range of subjects covering the works of scientists who significantly contributed to the history of civilization. From Cezeri’s engineering studies to Ibn al-Haytham’s discoveries in optics, the students had the chance to explore various scientific disciplines and embrace an interdisciplinary work culture through engaging workshops.

During the closing ceremony, Mert Balan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cyprus Science and Intelligence Foundation, shared insights on the 3-day training program. Mithat Tekçam, TRNC Coordinator of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, commended the project for its unique approach in teaching the history of science through the STEM education program, creating a new model for educational initiatives.

The event concluded with a visual presentation showcasing the students’ achievements during the workshop, followed by the distribution of certificates to all the participating students. The 3rd Experimental Science History project was a success in providing a valuable learning experience for young minds eager to explore the wonders of science and innovation.
