45 Drug Dealers Arrested in Operation across 17 Provinces

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya, has announced the successful completion of the “Narkoçelik-29” operations conducted by various Provincial Gendarmerie Commands across Turkey. The operations, carried out in provinces such as Diyarbakır, Ordu, Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Sakarya, Antalya, and others, were coordinated by the KOM Department of the Gendarmerie General Command.

A significant amount of narcotics, including 1 ton 331 kg of drugs, 9 million 258 thousand 811 cannabis and skunk roots, and 4 thousand 481 narcotic pills were seized during the operations. Furthermore, 103 drug dealers were apprehended, with 45 of them being arrested and judicial control decisions issued for 36.

In a social media post, Minister Yerlikaya expressed his determination to rid the country of drug dealers and commended the heroic efforts of the gendarmerie in carrying out the operations. He stated, “I want our dear nation to know that we are determined to cleanse our country of drug dealers and street vendors. There is no passage for drugs. I congratulate our heroic gendarmerie who carried out the operations.”
