
5 Injured in Catastrophic Accident on North Marmara Motorway

Two cars collided on the North Marmara Motorway in Sakarya, resulting in one car rolling over and 5 people getting injured in the accident.
The incident took place at 23.30 in the Korucuk pass in Adapazarı on the North Marmara Motorway. The car with license plate 34 CTB 686, driven by Ö.F.İ., was hit from behind by the car with license plate İ.T.81 GB 279, both moving in the same direction. The impact of the collision caused the car with license plate 34 CTB to be thrown. The drivers involved in the accident are identified as Ö.F.İ. and M.İ., along with passengers B.T. and Z.T. in the other car, including a child. The 112 Emergency Call Center was notified by witnesses of the accident, and health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured individuals received initial medical treatment and were then transferred to nearby hospitals.
Temporary traffic control was implemented on the highway in the direction of the motorway by the gendarmerie teams. After the cars were removed from the accident site and the road was cleaned up, traffic flow returned to normal. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
