
50 Million TL Claim in Esenyurt: Selling My Son’s Blood

Yunus Emre Erzen and Batuhan Bayındır tragically lost their lives on 28 July 2023 in Esenyurt. The trial of the 10 defendants accused of the murder of Tekel dealer is set to be announced at the upcoming hearing on April 21st.
Leading up to the hearing, Yunus Emre Erzen’s family and lawyer have expressed their thoughts regarding the case. Lawyer Kerim Bahadır Şeker stated, “We are eagerly awaiting the decision to be made at the hearing. We have presented a 41-page statement outlining our stance based on the content of the file and the relevant laws. We will continue to fight for justice and for our clients to receive the appropriate compensation.”
Yunus Emre Erzen’s mother, Solmaz Erzen, emotional statement, “My son was brutally murdered, along with 4 other innocent individuals. This crime warrants aggravated life imprisonment. I have faith in the Turkish justice system and I demand justice in the form of aggravated life imprisonment.”
Cantürk Erzen, Yunus Emre Erzen’s father, asserted, “The prosecutor has requested life imprisonment for the perpetrators. I trust that the necessary punishment will be delivered for this heinous crime.”
The indictment, prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, details the events of the tragic night at the Tekel-Gold Park Delişeri workplace, where Yunus Emre Erzen was fatally wounded by 8 gunshots and Batuhan Bayındır was injured by 2 shots. The document also mentions the injuries sustained by other individuals involved in the incident. The suspects are facing charges including ‘intentional killing with a blood-cultivation motive’, ‘deliberate killing’, and ‘attempted murder’. The prosecution is seeking varying prison sentences for the 10 defendants involved in this case.
As the hearing date approaches, the families of the victims and their legal representatives continue to seek justice and closure in the aftermath of this senseless tragedy.
