50 Years of Yeşilırmak Resistance and Integration Day Celebrated Today – BRTK
The 50th anniversary of the Yeşilırmak Resistance and Integration Day will be celebrated with official ceremonies today. After the official ceremonies, the celebrations will continue for six days with various events.
Today, two separate ceremonies will be held in front of the Yeşilırmak Martyrdom and Atatürk Bust. The first ceremony will be held at the Yeşilırmak Martyrdom at 17:30, and the second ceremony will be held in front of the Atatürk Bust in 5 Eylül Square at 18:15.
During the ceremonies, wreaths will be laid at the monument by the protocol, flags will be raised with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. The ceremonies will be concluded with speeches indicating the meaning and importance of the day.
The Yeşilırmak Yedidalga Producers Union will organize a ’50th Anniversary Celebration Night of the Resistance and Integration of the Yeşilırmak Region on September 5, 1974, and the embracing of Mehmetçik and Mujahideen and the drawing of the borders of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’. The event, which will be held today between 19.15-23.00, will take place in the festival area. After a moment of silence, the National Anthem and speeches, a band concert and dance shows will be presented. After the poems are read, Grup Akdeniz will give a concert at 21.00.

– Saturday, September 7th: ‘3rd Barrier-Free Boat Fishing Competition’
– Sunday, September 8th: ‘Surf Shows’ organized by Heaven Surf Association
– Tuesday, September 10th: Bingo Night organized by Yedidalga Sports Club
Overall, a variety of events and celebrations will continue for six days to commemorate the Yeşilırmak Resistance and Integration Day.
