Fifty-One People Hospitalized in Kocaeli After Eating Chicken Doner
Fifty-one people in the South Neighborhood of Kocaeli were hospitalized yesterday evening after eating chicken doner at a local restaurant on Atatürk Street. Shortly after consuming the meal, they began experiencing symptoms such as nausea, fever, and vomiting.
During the evening and night, the affected individuals sought medical attention at Peyderpey Derince Training and Research Hospital, Körfez State Hospital, and private hospitals in the area. While fifty of them were treated and discharged, one person is still receiving medical care.
The Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has taken samples from the restaurant in question and sent them for analysis to determine the cause of the food poisoning. An investigation into the incident is ongoing to prevent future occurrences and ensure the safety of consumers.
