550 Saplings Planted by BRTK Youth Department
The Youth Department Directorate organizes tree planting event
Under the direction of the Youth Department Directorate, a tree planting event was recently held in the Serhatköy region. A total of 120 young people participated in the event, which was organized in collaboration with the Forestry Department. Together, they planted 550 saplings in the area.
Both Youth Department Director Hüseyin Ozanoğlu and Turkish Cypriot Scouting Federation President Hakan İnce were present at the event. Director Ozanoğlu expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the initiative. He highlighted the importance of the project, emphasizing the slogan “Every young person is a sapling.” He also praised the high nature awareness exhibited by the young participants, who carefully planted each sapling.
The tree planting event serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation and the role that young people can play in protecting our planet. Through initiatives like this, the Youth Department Directorate hopes to inspire a sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship among the younger generation.
