62-Year-Old Musician Braves Cold, Snow, and Rain to Support His Family
Azman, a street musician in Eskişehir, Turkey, recently shared his struggles of working in the cold weather in an interview. Despite the harsh conditions, he expresses gratitude towards the people of Eskişehir for their kindness and support.
“I can’t move anywhere from here,” Azman explains, referring to his spot on the street where he plays music. “When my hands get cold, I warm them up a little and continue playing. The people of Eskişehir are amazing. They always show me love and care. No matter how big or small, they always greet me and ask how I’m doing. They help me in any way they can, whether it’s small gestures or requesting a song from me.”
Azman also opens up about his financial struggles, especially during the pandemic. With no other source of income, he relies on his music to make ends meet. He expresses his hope that authorities can provide him with assistance, such as early retirement, to alleviate his need to work outside in the cold weather.
Despite his challenges, Azman remains grateful for the support he receives from the community and continues to share his music to bring joy to those around him.
