63 Detained as Three Organized Crime Groups are Brought to Justice
“Raid-45” Operations conducted in 12 provinces simultaneously
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account that “Cage-45” Operations were carried out simultaneously in 12 provinces centered in Aydın, Kastamonu, and Balıkesir. These operations led to the collapse of three organized crime groups and the apprehension of 63 suspects, including the leaders of the criminal organization.
During the operations, various items were seized, including 132 credit cards, 12 POS devices, 121 vehicle sales contracts, 2 million 685 thousand TL worth of checks, promissory notes, and receipts, as well as pistols, hunting rifles, 14 blank cheques, a large amount of Turkish lira, and a substantial number of digital materials and documents.
Minister Yerlikaya stated, “I want our dear nation to know that we will not tolerate those who are arrogant in crime, those who disturb the peace of our people, organized crime organizations, and gangs. We will destroy organized crime organizations of any size and bring them to justice. I congratulate our Chief Public Prosecutors, our heroic gendarmerie who carry out the operations, MASAK, and our Revenue Administration. Our nation’s prayers are with you.”
The operations were also shared on Twitter by the Minister, underscoring the government’s commitment to cracking down on organized crime.
