After being evacuated from Gaza to Cairo, a group of 68 Turkish citizens and their families have arrived in Istanbul, Turkey. The evacuation was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and AFAD, and the group was welcomed at the Istanbul Airport VIP Lounge upon their arrival.
The group, which included many children and elderly individuals, arrived on a Turkish Airlines plane, and their relatives and AFAD officials were present to greet them. After going through passport control, some citizens left the airport with vehicles allocated by AFAD.
This evacuation is part of ongoing efforts to bring Turkish citizens home from Gaza, with the coordination of the Turkish government and relevant organizations. The safety and well-being of Turkish citizens abroad is a priority for the Turkish government, and efforts will continue to ensure the return of those in need.
